I'm Darren and I'm married to Melanie. I've been a minister for 20 years now. I love trains and talking about my friend Jesus. I really enjoy meeting new people and also have a heart for our local community. If you see me around, please say Hello!

Rev Melanie Pike

Hi, I'm Melanie, married to Darren and we have 3 lovely children and a dog called Digger! I am one of the ministers here at UCF. God really has a sense of humour as I would never have seen myself in this role as I'm not what you'd call a traditional minister! I love UCF and Ferndown. If you are looking for a church or unsure about church and want to give it a go, please feel free to pop along. I'd love to meet you. Come As You Are. Everyone is welcome.

Peter Vincent

Hi I'm Pete. With my wife Ali we have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. When not working I enjoy time with my family and long walks with the dog, taking in God's wonderful creation. When I get the chance I also love cycling on the many local countryside trails and beyond. Please be assured of a warm welcome and we would love to see you at any of our many church activities.

Angela Jameson

Hi, my husband Rick and I moved to Ferndown from Maidstone in 2012. In 2013, we both became Church members, and I also became the Church Treasurer. I am involved in a number of Church activities - lunch club catering, audio/visual team and annual kids club helper.

Jill Corcoran

I was born in Reading in 1953 and adopted at the age of two into a family with two sisters living in Didcot. I moved to Upton at the age of seven and left home at 14. I lived independently until my first marriage aged 28. I was born of the Lord in February 1979 at Lansdown Baptist Church, being baptised three months later on Easter Sunday.

I have worked with the elderly most of my life in different ways, initially with home help, then at the Day Centre and then as a cook in a nursing home. I remarried in 2002 but sadly lost my husband in 2023. God has been so faithful. Being at UCF for me is like belonging to a family where I know I am loved and accepted.

Janet Latham

I am one of the deacons at UCF. I'm married with two sons and six grandchildren (one girl and five boys). I teach swimming, which I love, am often in the garden trying to get plants to grow and attempt to keep the house clean and tidy (an impossible task for me).

I have a book called, 'People matter more than things' and if people notice the numerous spider webs in our house, they've missed what really matters!

Natalie Butler

Hi, I'm Natalie and am one of the deacons here at UCF. I have 3 young daughters so am usually very busy being a mum! I'm born and raised in Dorset but love to travel any chance I get. I love seeing different parts of the world and immersing myself in different cultures. I am very blessed to be a member at UCF as everyone is so warm and welcoming.

Arthur Ansell

Hi, I am the GDPR compliance officer at the United Church Ferndown and I am one of the regular worship leaders on the music team playing guitar and bass in our Sunday services. I am married to Pam and we have two 'grown up' kids. When I am not involved in supporting the Church or setting up for a Sunday, I'll be strumming my guitar.
