Christianity Explored
What's the Difference Between a Christian and a Cup of Tea?
Cups of tea aren’t scary! Now, that's probably not fair on Christians... but we understand why some people feel nervous about stepping into a church. Maybe you've never been. Maybe you went once as a child. Maybe you've watched enough TV to think everyone will expect you to know when to stand up, sit down, sing, or say mysterious words in unison!
The truth is, most people who come to Christianity Explored don't know very much about the Christian faith at all—and that's exactly why it's here.
So... what is Christianity Explored?
It's a relaxed, friendly course for people who are curious.
No previous knowledge is needed.
No awkward questions.
No pressure.
No one will ask you to pray out loud.
No one expects you to believe anything before you arrive.
You don't even have to decide whether you agree with Christianity. You simply come, listen, ask questions (or just listen if you'd rather), and explore who Jesus really is.
Over a number of sessions we'll look at the life of Jesus through one of the Gospels and ask some of life's biggest questions:
Is there more to life than this?
- Who was Jesus?
- Why did He die?
- Can we really know God?
- What does it mean to have faith?
- Does any of this matter in the twenty-first century?
These are questions thoughtful people have been asking for thousands of years. You don't have to leave your brain at the door!
Come As You Are
Whether you're sceptical...
Searching...
Hopeful...
Confused...
Or simply wondering what all the fuss is about...
You are welcome.
Bring your questions.
Bring your doubts.
Bring your curiosity.
There's no exam at the end, no membership form waiting to be signed, and no obligation to come back if it's not for you.
Just good conversation, honest questions, and the opportunity to discover for yourself why billions of people around the world have found hope in Jesus Christ.
You might not leave with every answer.
But you may well leave asking better questions—and discovering that God has been asking questions of you too.
Why not come and explore?
You have nothing to lose, and perhaps more to discover than you ever imagined.
